Rilasciato ufficialmente  il 4 giugno 2025, OOAK è il quarto singolo digitale delle NEK!, una scarica di adrenalina Rock che incarna l’audacia e l’unicità di questa giovane band tutta al femminile. Il titolo, acronimo di “One Of A Kind”, riflette il loro spirito ribelle, un mix perfettamente equilibrato  di suoni crudi, testi taglienti e un’attitudine che sfida le convenzioni. Con un ensemble potente guidato dalla voce carismatica di Hika (voce e chitarra), i riff infuocati di Natsu (chitarra), il basso slappato di Kanade e la batteria esplosiva di Cocoro, OOAK è un inno alla libertà e alla determinazione. I testi delle NEK! parlano di rompere le catene di un mondo opprimente, con versi come “We can make you free so come with us now” che trasmettono un’energia contagiosa. La produzione di Yuki Tanabe e Masayoshi Yamamoto dona al brano un suono  fresco e moderno , con un groove che richiama il rock alternativo anni ’90. Il video musicale, girato senza strumenti in una location naturale, esalta l’autenticità delle NEK! con collage visivi e stop-motion, creando un’estetica retrò.OOAK è un grido di battaglia per chi vuole vivere senza compromessi, perfetto per scaldare i palchi del loro imminente Zepp Shinjuku One-Man il 30 agosto 2025. La band si è  formata il 10 febbraio 2024, le NEK! (lette “Neki”, slang per “sorella maggiore affidabile”) sono un quartetto di Tokyo composto da Hika (voce e chitarra), Natsu (chitarra), Kanade (basso) e Cocoro (batteria). Nate dalla connessione tra le loro attività su YouTube e TikTok, dove Hika vantava già oltre 60.000 follower, le NEK! si sono unite per la loro passione comune per il rock e i testi provocatori. Il loro 1° EP EXCLAMAT!ON (2024) e il 2° TR!CK TAK!NG (2025) hanno consolidato il loro status di giovane  band da tenere d'occhio, con brani come “MAZE” e “Get Over” che nel giro di poco tempo sono diventati degli anthem per i giovani della loro generazione. Hanno fatto sold-out nei loro live a Shibuya e Spotify O-WEST. E' del tutto evidente l'Influenza delle  BAND-MAID  ( Di cui Natsu è una fan dichiarata) le NEK! combinano abilità tecniche e un’energia live esplosiva, guadagnandosi un seguito crescente in Giappone ed anche all'estero. Sinceramente penso che NEK! potrebbe essere la Next Big Thing della inarrestabile scena Nipponica. Teniamo d'occhio queste ragazze.

L’ex-componente delle You’ll Melt More!, ano, torna a colpire con il suo secondo album da solista, BONE BORN BOMB, rilasciato il 4 giugno 2025. Questo lavoro, un’esplosione di creatività e audacia, si presenta come una raccolta di 12 tracce che mescolano il suo stile eccentrico e versatile con una produzione di altissimo livello, coinvolgendo collaboratori di spicco come TAKU INOUE, TK, Ozaki Sekaikan e Regal Lily. BONE BORN BOMB è un viaggio sonoro che cattura l’essenza unica di ano: un mix di pop, punk, metal e influenze elettroniche, condito dalla sua personalità stravagante e dalla capacità di alternare voci kawaii a growl aggressivi. Brani come “Zetsu Zetsu Zettai Seiiki” (con la partecipazione di Lilas Ikuta) e “Bubble Me Face” sono veri e propri manifesti della sua energia esplosiva, con testi che oscillano tra introspezione e provocazione giocosa. La prima, tema del film Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction, è un inno potente con un arrangiamento di che unisce melodie accattivanti a riff intensi. Tracce come “Kone Baki", "Yuugure Diary” e “Rori Rokkyun Robo" (tema del film Boku to Roboco) mostrano il lato più sperimentale e teatrale di ano, con ritmi frenetici e un’estetica che richiama l’Harajuku più colorata e ribelle. “Aishiteru, Nantene.”, con il contributo di Ozaki Sekaikan, offre invece un momento più intimo, pur mantenendo quell’ironia tagliente che permea l’intero album. La varietà di stili è impressionante: si passa dal pop-punk di “Kukkon Kikkun” a sonorità elettroniche in “swimin睡眠Tokyo”, utilizzata per una campagna pubblicitaria di Meiji. La produzione è impeccabile, con arrangiamenti che valorizzano la versatilità di ano come compositrice ed autrice (ha scritto o co-scritto quasi tutte le tracce). La sua capacità di collaborare con artisti come Taku Inoue e Hidefumi Kenmochi dona al disco una freschezza che lo rende accessibile e mai banale. L’edizione limitata con Blu-ray, che include il live Super Nyan Oneechan Happyokai al NHK Hall, aggiunge un valore extra, mostrando l’energia travolgente di ano sul palco. I fan di ano hanno elogiato l’album per la sua audacia e cura nei dettagli, dalla confezione artistica del SUPER BOMB BOX (con tanto di sveglia parlante!) all’impatto emotivo delle canzoni. Molti sottolineano come BONE BORN BOMB non abbia “tracce scarte” e sia un riflesso autentico della personalità di ano, che riesce a essere al contempo idol, punk rocker e icona di stile. Former You’ll Melt More! member ano makes a striking return with her second solo album, BONE BORN BOMB, released on June 4, 2025. This work is a burst of creativity and boldness, featuring a collection of 12 tracks that blend ano’s eccentric and versatile style with top-tier production, involving notable collaborators like TAKU INOUE, TK, Ozaki Sekaikan, and Regal Lily. BONE BORN BOMB is a sonic journey that captures ano’s unique essence: a mix of pop, punk, metal, and electronic influences, infused with her quirky personality and the ability to shift between kawaii vocals and aggressive growls.  Tracks like “Zetsu Zetsu Zettai Seiiki” (featuring Lilas Ikuta) and “Bubble Me Face” are true manifestos of her explosive energy, with lyrics that swing between introspection and playful provocation.
