Possiamo considerare la scena K Indie come un fenomeno globale, apprezzata e riconosciuta da tutti gli addetti ai lavori. Parliamo di un trend che negli ultimi cinque anni è cresciuto ulteriormente grazie all'interesse da parte del pubblico occidentale. Bye Bye Badman è una band all'attivo da oltre tre lustri che già in passato si è fatta notare. Ne approfittiamo per ripescare un loro brano uscito parecchio tempo fa esattamente nel 2015 ma  ancora attuale. Con il singolo "Young Wave",  (che fa parte del loro primo album)   i Bye Bye Badman si sono fatti notare dal grande pubblico confermandosi come una delle realtà più interessanti e raffinate della scena indie di Seoul. Formatisi nel 2010 e battezzati in onore degli Stone Roses, la band ha saputo evolvere il proprio sound partendo dalle radici Britpop degli esordi per approdare a un’elettronica sognante e sofisticata. Il brano è un perfetto esempio della loro maturità artistica: un mix travolgente di nu-disco e synth-pop che giustifica pienamente la recente nomination ai Korean Music Awards nella categoria Electronic/Dance. Nonostante il curriculum di tutto rispetto, che vanta aperture per pesi massimi come Noel Gallagher e partecipazioni a festival internazionali come il SXSW,  i Bye Bye Badman mantengono quella freschezza "indie" che li rende unici. "Young Wave" colpisce per la linea di basso pulsante (firmata da Luli Lee) e per un arrangiamento che riesce a essere contemporaneamente nostalgico e moderno. È una traccia che sembra fatta apposta per i grandi palchi estivi, trasportando l'ascoltatore in un'atmosfera eterea sospesa tra i club di Seoul e le spiagge della California. Dopo il successo dell'ultimo album e questo nuovo slancio creativo, la band dimostra che il loro ritorno sulla scena non è solo un "ritorno di fiamma", ma una solida evoluzione verso territori sonori sempre più ambiziosi.

The K-Indie scene can now be considered a global phenomenon, widely appreciated and recognized by industry professionals worldwide. We are looking at a trend that has grown exponentially over the last five years, fueled by the increasing interest of Western audiences. Bye Bye Badman, a band active for over fifteen years, is an act that has consistently commanded attention. We’re taking this opportunity to revisit a track of theirs released quite some time ago—back in 2015—which remains incredibly relevant today. With the single "Young Wave" (featured on their first full-length album), Bye Bye Badman first caught the eye of the general public, establishing themselves as one of the most interesting and sophisticated fixtures of the Seoul indie scene.Formed in 2010 and named in honor of The Stone Roses, the band has masterfully evolved their sound, transitioning from their early Britpop roots toward a dreamy and polished electronic style. Le HANABIE. tornano a far parlare di sé con il loro ultimo singolo, "Spicy Queen", e lo fanno in grande stile. Il brano, che celebra il decimo anniversario della band, è stato concepito come una controparte più "piccante" della loro apprezzatissima "We Love Sweets", e si sente! "Spicy Queen" è una scarica di energia pura. Il quartetto giapponese riesce a fondere il proprio distintivo Harajuku-core – un mix esplosivo di metalcore, hardcore e la loro estetica unica – in un pezzo che non lascia tregua. La voce di Yukina è come sempre un coltello affilato, capace di passare da growl potenti a sezioni pulite e melodiche con una fluidità impressionante.I riff di chitarra sono serrati e dinamici, il basso pulsa con una presenza innegabile e la batteria è un martello pneumatico che spinge il brano con una precisione sorprendente. C'è un'incredibile capacità delle HANABIE. di creare caos controllato, con cambi di tempo imprevedibili e sezioni che ti prendono alla sprovvista, mantenendo sempre un'orecchiabilità quasi pop.I testi, pur se non immediatamente comprensibili per i non madrelingua, trasmettono l'idea di qualcosa di "piccante" e "addictive", proprio come il brano stesso. È il tipo di canzone che ti entra in testa e ti fa venire voglia di ascoltarla in loop. Se ami il loro sound distintivo e la loro energia travolgente, "Spicy Queen" è un ascolto obbligatorio che conferma il loro status di band innovativa e imperdibile nella scena metalcore attuale.

HANABIE. is back in the spotlight with their latest single, "Spicy Queen," and they do so in grand style. Song - Bad Week 

I PUFF sono la conferma di un fenomeno che molti ignorano: sono una delle tantissime band nipponiche con un’attitudine 100% British. In Italia, spesso non ci si accorge di quanto la musica Made in U.K. abbia plasmato intere generazioni di musicisti giapponesi. È una scena che cresce da trent’anni, eppure gli "addetti ai lavori" nostrani sembrano non averla mai presa seriamente in considerazione. Eppure, dai pionieri come i Venus Peter fino alle nuove leve del Brit-Rock giapponese come DYGL, Jam Fuzz Kid, No Buses e FRSKID, il collegamento tra Tokyo, Londra e Manchester è più solido che mai. I PUFF, a dispetto del nome che potrebbe trarre in inganno, si cimentano in una reinterpretazione del suono Baggy (molto vicina allo stile dei FRSKID) che convince al primo ascolto. Il loro brano "Bad Week"—il quarto singolo digitale della band—ha quel tiro perfetto che starebbe benissimo in qualsiasi DJ set o playlist dedicata all’Inghilterra degli anni '90. Se cercate quel mix di groove ballabile e chitarre Funky, i PUFF sono la band da tenere d'occhio.
